By using NerdBuddy, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the extension or related services.
1. What NerdBuddy provides
NerdBuddy is a browser extension that lets users select a visible math problem from a webpage or PDF preview and request an AI-generated solution. Output may include a transcription, step-by-step explanation, short answer, or final result.
2. Responsible use
- Use NerdBuddy lawfully and only for content you are allowed to process.
- Do not abuse, disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass limits in the service.
- Do not use NerdBuddy to submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the request and you have permission to do so.
- Do not use NerdBuddy in a way that violates school, workplace, platform, or website rules.
3. AI results and learning use
NerdBuddy generates answers automatically. Results can be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for checking all math results before relying on them, especially for exams, graded work, financial decisions, safety decisions, or other high-stakes use.
4. Accounts and limits
NerdBuddy may offer anonymous, Free, and Premium usage states. Current limits may include 3 anonymous solves, 10 Free solves per 14-day window after Google sign-in, and 500 Premium solves per monthly usage period. Limits are used to keep the service reliable and may be updated as the product changes. Attempting to bypass limits, create abusive account patterns, or interfere with metering can result in suspended access.
5. Premium access
Premium features may include a higher monthly solve allowance and access to Deep Check mode, which adds extra problem reading and answer verification for harder screenshots. Premium subscriptions renew according to the checkout and billing-provider terms shown at purchase. If a payment fails, subscription data expires, or a subscription is cancelled, Premium access may end automatically.
6. Payments and refunds
Payments, renewals, invoices, cancellations, and refunds are handled through Lemon Squeezy or the billing provider shown at checkout. If you have a billing issue, include the email used for purchase when you reach out.
7. Availability and changes
NerdBuddy may change, pause, remove, or limit features at any time. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, provider outages, browser changes, payment issues, abuse prevention, or other operational events.
8. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what data NerdBuddy processes and why. By using NerdBuddy, you also agree that your use is subject to the Privacy Policy.
9. No warranties
NerdBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NerdBuddy disclaims implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NerdBuddy is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, academic outcomes, billing-provider issues, or decisions made from AI-generated answers.
11. Termination
Access may be suspended or terminated if you violate these terms, abuse the service, create risk for other users, or use NerdBuddy in a way that may cause legal, security, billing, or operational issues.
